Both phones are available at almost identical prices so that you can get help in making informed purchase decisions. Which phone will get out? Let's see

Design and Performance

Honor has completely crushed Xiaomi in terms of design language. There is a clear difference between the two phones.

While Honor 8X focuses on aesthetics and details, the Redmi Note 5 optimizes the test and test design. Honors' 16.51 cm Full View Note Display 2.0 enhances the overall viewing experience of the user.

It has a minimal bezel and offers them a glass body with a thin bottom border using innovative 'chip-on-film' technology.

The smartphone uses the frame between the metal and adopts a 2.5-D double texture Aurora glass body with a grouting effect, which looks and feels elegant and smooth.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, has thick bezels, dull colors, and a dated design. It looks like a small display.

Unlike 8X, there is no 'wow' factor in note 5 Pro. Both phones have a 3.5mm headphone jack, a single speaker grill below and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Display and battery

The latest family member of Honors comes with the latest Octa-Core Kirin 710 chipset, which has 12 nm Cortex-A 73 generation-based SOC which supports AI functionality with 6 GHz RAM and 128 GB storage.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with Snapdragon 636 processor, which has 4 GB or 6GB RAM, although storage is similar to 64 GB in both models. The absence of AI functionality in Note 5 Pro is a bugger.

In addition, the 8X chipsets are enhanced by the revolutionary GPU turbo: groundbreaking hardware-software integration and graphics processing acceleration technology which never prefers mobile gaming.

Since there is no special feature to increase the GPU, the Note 5 Pro user can experience lag and frame drops during game 5.

Storage is another area where earns 8 x brownie points. Dual sim handset comes with the option of expanding internal storage up to 400 GB using a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It is equipped with dual volts and packs a high capacity 3750 mAh battery

Redmi Note 5 Pro has a hybrid sim-slot and a 4000 mAh battery. Both devices have face unlock features, but the Honors' AI-enabled face unlock function can be conducive to hard lighting conditions and makes it easier and more secure.

The camera

The previous camera with the dual AI 20 MP + 2 MP of Honor 8X can click on some seriously amazing images.

The camera has an F / 1.8 aperture that supports Phase Identity Autofocus (PDAF) and uses for AI wisely recognizes 500 scenarios in 22 categories.

For low light/night shots, it uses a multi-frame stabilization technique, resulting in excellent details and clear color with natural color reproduction.

Its 16 MP front camera has an advanced portrait mode that provides a natural bottle effect and a true skin tone. Honors 8X's super-speed-motion feature can record video at 16x slow speeds (480 fps) and with an increased reality (AR) effect, the camera can make interesting group photos by changing the background and making AR masks etc.

There is a 12 MP + 5 MP sensor and 20 MP front camera behind Radmi Note 5 Pro. The cameras, though decent, can not compete with the 8X. Beauty mode can be slightly artificial and highly stretched. In low light, the camera quality of Note 5 Pro is not just to be marked.
